Welcome, beauty-loving darklings, to the debut of our new monthly beauty round-up! There will be some brands that may be new to you, some new treasures from old favorites, previews of upcoming releases, and whatever else catches our makeup magpies’ eyes.

Baby Bat Beauty

Baby Bat Beauty boasts 28 permanent shades of Matte Liquid Lipsticks, including shades such as Apparition (cool light gray-beige), Haunted (medium gray with a hint of teal), and Oblivion (deep burgundy wine). And that’s just for starters! Their handmade makeup also includes Matte Lipsticks, Metallic Lip Creams, liquid and powder highlighters, gel eyeliners, and much, much more. All of their makeup is paraben-free, gluten-free, and PETA-certified as cruelty-free. Vegan options are available. Baby Bat Beauty

Blackbird Cosmetics

This indie company offers more than darkly delicious packaging. Their products are made in the U.S.A., 100% cruelty-free and vegan, and Leaping Bunny approved. They offer a wide selection of their Pressed Luxury Eye Shadows in singles as well as pre-made palettes. Also check out their blushes, sculpting powders, color correction powders, and false eyelashes. Blackbird Cosmetics

Wake the Dead Scrubs

Bring your skin back from the dead with these coffee scrubs and other bath and skincare items. They are cruelty-free, handmade, and environmentally friendly. Every single ingredient is safe enough to be rinsed down the drain. Instead of harmful plastic microbeads, scrubs use ones made of safe jojoba wax. Items are packaged in recyclable and/or reusable packaging. Order from their website, Wake the Dead Scrubs, or their Etsy store, Lavish Luxe Beauty.

Glam Tech Handmade Magnetic Palettes

There are never enough goth beauty accessories, am I right? At least you can encase your pans in something spooky. Glam Tech makes customizable, high-quality magnetic palettes. These acrylic and PVC palettes use industrial magnets, so nothing is falling out of these babies, and the lids will stay on, even in your handbag. Choose from several premade lid designs, or use your own image. Besides the lid design, you can customize the palette color, lid design colors and finishes, and more. Rectangular palettes come in sizes that hold from 3 to 35 pans (depending on size of palette and size of the pans). Other shapes are available. Blush singles palettes, beauty blending sponge holders, novelty palette shapes, and more are available in their Etsy shop, Glam Tech.

Apocalyptic Beauty Look of the Month Club

In November, we featured Apocalyptic Beauty in a brand profile, and we wanted to give you an update. Their new subscription service is now taking pre-orders! The cut-off date for getting this month’s box is Jan. 21. Each month, subscribers will receive four to five products that can be used either separately or together for a complete, cohesive, theme-inspired look. The debut theme for this month is “Acid Rainbow Fairy.” You’re right if you guessed I signed up in a hot minute! Items will be sent out the last week of the month. You can subscribe here. (Also note that the rest of this new website is under construction; you can still buy everything else from their Etsy shop.)

Coming Soon: Black Moon Cosmetics Orb of Light Full Moon Palette

Keep your eyes out for this beauty, which is slated to debut in early 2018: Black Moon Cosmetics’ first eyeshadow palette, the Orb of Light Full Moon Palette. Black Moon isn’t revealing the shadow shades yet, but they have stated on their Instagram, @blackmooncosmetics, that they will all be mattes. Price to be announced. They also shared the beautiful black and holographic packaging which will open up to look like a full moon. I don’t know about you, but this eyeshadow addict can’t wait! You can shop and sign up for email updates on their website, Black Moon Cosmetics.
