Must-Try Cruelty-Free Indie Makeup Brands

Share this:

Darklings love their indie makeup, and for good reasons. Indie brands can provide the quality, creativity, colors, finishes — and ethics — that are near-impossible to find with mainstream cosmetics companies. Not to mention that with big corporations, you’re pretty much screwed if you need something that is cruelty-free, vegan, or won’t set off your allergies faster than a room full of ragweed bouquets. Read on for a mini-tour of the best brands you might have missed.

Living Dead Beauty

Color us intrigued. This brand-spanking-new company made its debut in November with 19 shades of its Evermore Liquid Lipsticks. Long-wearing, comfortable liquid lipsticks? Yes, please! Vegan and cruelty-free. Living Dead Beauty.

Cryptic Cosmetics

For the enigmatic beauty. Stunning instagrammer @depechegurl, aka Christina Parga, has her own cosmetics line featuring liquid lipsticks in shades from classic matte vamps to not-so-girly metallic pinks. Vegan and cruelty-free. Cryptic Cosmetics.

My Pretty Zombie

Leave behind a beautiful corpse. Find your favorite shades of deathly eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks, highlighters, nail polish, and more. Cruelty-free with many vegan options. My Pretty Zombie.
