Darkling Collab: DIY Batty Beaded Ascot Pin by Odin

Share this:

If you’re looking for an amazing DIY project to sink your teeth into this winter, you’ve come to the right spot. Dear Darkling has collaborated with Odins Musings on YouTube to bring you this fabulously batty ascot pin beading project! It can be worn by anyone, making it the perfect holiday gift (that is, if you can bear to let it go once you’ve made it). The project can be customized to your tastes by changing the cabochon style or the bead color. We dare you to visit Leander Ornaments and NOT drop some cash on those gorgeous cabs!

As their Skillshare lessons attest, Odin is a master of intricate, gorgeous beadwork, but they’ve graciously designed this project specifically for those who fall more on the beginner side of the spectrum. Whether you’re new to beadwork or an old hand at the craft, you can bet you’ll want to whip up one of these bat boys. Odin’s included links to all the supplies used, so you can get your hands on one (or two, or six) of those amazing cabochons, too. Check it out! And while you’re at it, subscribe to Odin for an absolute hoard of beading tutorials, reviews, makeup tutorials, and more!

You can find Odin’s channel on Youtube, or follow them on IG @odinsmusings, over on Facebook, or on DeviantArt.
