A few things come to mind when someone mentions the name Micheline Pitt: vintage vixen, bad girl, glam goth, artist, designer, model, businesswoman are just a few. Ultimately, she can be summed up as a seriously badass babe. A style icon to lovers of all things retro, Pitt perfectly embodies the pinup aesthetic, with her signature jet black 1940s wave and bright red lips.
Previously a designer for Pinup Girl Clothing, she’s since branched out, using her personal brand and design expertise to launch her own clothing brands. Vixen by Micheline Pitt perfectly embodies Pitt’s retro, hard femme look with kink and beauty inspired prints and sassy graphics for devilish and deadly dames. The collection embraces classic vintage silhouettes; full skirts for the pretty, little squares and curve-hugging wiggle skirts for daring drapes, in a cohesive color palette of red, pink, black, and leopard.
While Vixen may be all about creating “good things for bad girls,” Pitt’s personal style isn’t exclusively Wanda Woodward. With her love for classic horror, monsters, and glamour, she regularly channels a more Elvira-esque look. With her latest line, La Femme en Noir, Pitt partnered with fellow designer Lynh Hagga to bring her glam goth aesthetic to life, never forgetting the vintage inspiration we know and love.
The pair have been teasing sneak peeks of La Femme en Noir for months, on both the brand and Pitt’s Instagram, with only a vague “coming soon” to look forward to. Vintage vamps and darkling dames were left shivering with anticipation. This week the collection finally launched, and it is every bit as delicious as we hoped it would be. Dripping with lace, dangerously sexy, and in all black, of course, these “darkly designed delicacies for the glamorously gothic” are the stuff of our most sultry daydreams and seductive nightmares.
