It’s Not a Phase, Mom: Kid’s Clothes for Your Baby Bat

Share this:

You’re walking through the aisles of your local big box store, searching through stacks of children’s clothes in sunny yellows and pale blues, suddenly driven to proclaim, “You have gone too far. You have married Fester, you have destroyed his spirit, you have taken him from us. All that I could forgive. But Debbie… pastels?” We feel you, darkling. Parents with dark hearts know well the struggles to find gear for our mini-monsters that speaks to our aesthetic. Fear not! We’ve put together a list of some of the spookiest must haves for every little goth. Our rules while compiling this list: nothing too costume-y, no tulle or tough material that could cramp a toddler’s ability to cruise, and whenever possible, go for lots and lots of black.

Striped Jumpsuit

Hell. Yes. After they slip this sleek piece of Tim Burton stripes on, your kid will be more stylish than you – even through the tantrums of their terrifying twos. Miss Lyla Boutique//$34.83

We can promise you two things when it comes to these black and white harem pants. One: after your baby bat feels how much room these pants allow, you’ll never get them to wear anything else. Two: once your dearest darkling slips into these these they will no doubt seek out the dark forces and join their hellish crusade. Me and Reekie//$23.00+

Lucy Fur Dress

Sourpuss Clothing’s “Lucy Fur” dress is legendary. When we found out they make it for kids, we shrieked with joy. Sourpuss Clothing//$27

“Well, I’ve read through that handbook for the recently deceased. It says: ‘Live people ignore the strange and unusual.’ I myself am strange and unusual.” Shout out to our girl, Lydia Deetz, for making the world for our little ones all the more dark and stormy. Creepy Cousins//$15

Who doesn’t love a baby in a pinafore set? Better yet, who doesn’t love a baby’s lil’ diapered bottom being covered by a camp of bloodthirsty batties? Art by Arnolds//$20

Lacy Ghost Romper
