The Witchy Wonders of Black Cat Bone Jewelry

Share this:

Drawing inspiration from nature, felines, and the occult, Black Cat Bone offers bold, witchy, handmade jewelry created in beautiful New Zealand. Owner, designer, and self-described “crazy cat lady” Eden Antonia designs highly detailed statement rings and simple, dramatic earrings and earweights, and haunting bracelets and necklaces worthy of a place in any darkling’s jewelry collection.

Antonia spent years studying metalsmithing and has been working in the jewelry industry since 2014.  She calls it her “life’s passion.” First, she sculpts her designs in wax. These wax molds then go to a local family-run foundry that casts them in sterling silver and other metals using the lost wax casting method. Finishing touches may include gemstones, crystals, and oxidizing. She is happy to make personal adjustments to any item, such as changing necklace chain length or clasp style. Worldwide shipping is available.

The cruelty-free animal bone jewelry is cast using bones from naturally deceased animals. If an ethically sourced bone or part cannot be found, such as with her lynx skeleton cat paw items, Antonia sculpts replicas.

“I’m always looking for new experimental ways of creating jewelry and like to push the boundaries of what has been done before,” she writes. “I find my inspiration in the darker side of life, I’m fascinated by the balance of beauty and the macabre and make ‘jewelry that is… not for the faint of heart.'”
